WhiteBackground.app

WhiteBackground.app is an online photo editor for making image backgrounds pure white. Its free single-photo workflow removes a background locally in the browser, centers the subject on RGB 255, 255, 255, and downloads a JPG or PNG. No account is required for free local processing, and photos are not uploaded in this mode. The editor supports JPG, PNG, WebP and iPhone HEIC inputs, transparent PNG composition, square and custom output sizes, and adjustable subject spacing. Brush tools let users erase or restore details and undo or redo edits. Free photo exports have a maximum edge of 2200 pixels. It is useful for product catalogs, marketplace listing pictures and simple portraits.

Visitors can start with their own image or an example photo, download the browser AI model on the first visit, choose their framing, and save the result. Processing time depends on the device, browser and photo. Existing transparent PNG files can be placed directly on white without repeating background removal. The main editor avoids enlarging the subject beyond its source resolution. The site also offers downloadable plain white background images and task pages for marketplace framing, product photography, transparent PNG conversion and square photos.

The English-language web application works without installing a desktop editor. Local processing is intended for people who want to keep their original photo on their device. The browser model is about 220 MB, so first-use setup depends on the network and supported browser capabilities. Users should inspect edges and fine details and can refine the cutout with the available brush controls. The site describes optional Pro and Cloud plans separately; those account and credit features should not be confused with the free local single-photo workflow.
